I am an accomplished public historian with more than two decades of experience leading archival repositories and special collections libraries in Tennessee.

I served as Past President of the Society of Tennessee Archivists and currently work as the Director of Public Services for the Tennessee State Library & Archives where I lead the reference and research section, coordinate public programs, and facilitate public access to state historical collections and government records.

I am also a writer, editor, and published author. My most recent book, John Sevier: Tennessee's First Hero, published by The History Press, critically examines Sevier’s extraordinary life through the lens of history and memory, shedding new light on this remarkable historical figure.
